Wood Street Undertold Historical Marker Unveiling Ceremony

March 7, 2018  | By Shoal Creek Conservancy

In February 2018, Shoal Creek Conservancy co-hosted a ceremony for the unveiling of the Undertold Historical Marker for the Wood Street Settlement at Shoal Creek. The Conservancy was honored to have facilitated the marker application process and to co-host the event with our partners at the Texas Historical Commission, the Travis County Historical Commission, and the City’s Parks and Recreation Department.

A very special thanks goes out to the Planning Committee, Historic Bridges Committee, Shoal Creek Ambassadors, and our wonderful speakers for making this event a huge success.

The speakers included Michael Barnes (emcee), Travis County Commissioner Jeff Travillion, Texas Historical Commission Commissioner Wallace B.
