Title: Event Planning & Partnerships Internship (part-time)

Reports To: Marketing & Community Engagement Manager

Date Available: September 17, 2018

Job Description: As the Events Intern, you will work in partnership with the Marketing & Community Engagement Manager to coordinate events and community partnerships, and manage volunteer activities.This position that will introduce interns to planning, executing and evaluating volunteer events in an environmental nonprofit setting. You will bring your organizational ability, public communication skills, operational ability, and love of a fast-paced environment to our growing nonprofit. The Events Intern will assist in all events planning, community and business outreach. This is a part time (~15 hours) position with a stipend of $500 per semester, with the hope that the Intern stays on during the Spring semester as well. Shoal Creek is more than happy to work with students to receive class credit for an internship, if that’s an option. This position will report to the Marketing & Community Engagement Manager.

Title: Social Media & Communications Internship  (part-time)

Reports To: Marketing & Community Engagement Manager

Date Available: September 17, 2018

Job Description: The Social Media Intern works directly and closely with the Marketing & Community Engagement Manager. The Social Media Intern will help to develop and implement a written communications plan that targets the strategies and goals of Shoal Creek Conservancy. You will bring your organizational ability, excellent written communication skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment to our growing nonprofit. The Social Media Intern will assist in all idea creation and content creation of social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, as well as blog content on the website, content for the monthly newsletter, and press releases as needed. This is a part time (~15 hours) position with a stipend of $500 per semester, with the hope that the Intern stays on during the Spring semester as well. Shoal Creek is more than happy to work with students to receive class credit for an internship, if that’s an option. This position will report to the Marketing & Community Engagement Manager.

Social Media & Communications Internship Description

 

Title: Grants & Donor Relationships Internship (part-time)

Reports To: Operations & Development Manager

Date Available: September 17, 2018

Job Description: As Grants & Donor Relations intern, you will work with the Shoal Creek Conservancy Operations and Development Manager to communicate the impact of the Conservancy’s programs and showcase the Conservancy’s mission and activities from a variety of angles. You will deploy your writing skills through an array of communications, including grant proposals, acknowledgement letters, and the annual report. You will help ensure that the Conservancy’s donor database is organized, accessible, and up-to-date, to help inform strategic decisions about fundraising and relationship-building. This position is a great opportunity to experience a nonprofit work environment, build a diverse portfolio of writing, and develop your knowledge of information management. This is a part-time position (~15 hours/week), with a stipend of $500/semester. Minimum duration of the internship is one semester, with the potential to continue during spring semester as well. The Conservancy is happy to make arrangements for the intern to earn course credit, if desired. This position will report to the Operations & Development Manager.
