Join Shoal Creek Conservancy for a very special workday, as we add native plants to a brand new rain garden! **This event was initially scheduled for April 14th, but we are pushing it back 2 weeks due to construction delays.
All tools and supplies will be provided. All ages are welcome. Please wear close-toed shoes, and otherwise dress for the weather. You are encouraged to bring a water bottle, sun protection, and any snacks you might need.
The City of Austin is constructing a brand new rain garden at the intersection of Shoal Creek Boulevard and Great Oaks Parkway. This rain garden will help to capture and filter stormwater before it enters Shoal Creek. We need your help to plant the new rain garden with native plant species that will ensure optimal rain garden function, support our native pollinators, and add beauty to the corners of this intersection!
