Join Shoal Creek Conservancy and Meteorologist Kenny L. Tapp for an engaging presentation followed by a walking discussion of the meteorology and microclimates found in the Shoal Creek watershed! Tapp currently teaches Meteorology at Texas State University, has his Master’s and Bachelor’s in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma, and has taught more than 265 college Earth Science courses. Tapp lives in Austin along Shoal Creek and is excited to share observations and data about the unique, cool microclimates that you can experience!

This tour will begin in the downtown Austin REI store, where an SCC staff member will direct attendees toward REI’s classroom. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and we recommend bringing water and a snack if desired. Register below to join us!
