#PhotoFriday: Eeyore’s Birthday at Pease Park
March 7, 2014 | By Shoal Creek Conservancy
This #PhotoFriday snap comes by way of Ted Lee Eubanks and his 2011 visit to Eeyore’s Birthday Party at Pease Park. There may be no better exuberant display of Austin’s lovable eccentricity than right here at this annual celebration.
Fun fact: Eeyore’s Birthday Party started as a UT event and was originally hosted at Eastwoods Park near campus but outside our watershed. In the 1970s it grew too large and organizers made the move here, and we are very proud they now call Pease Park and Shoal Creek home.
For more trivia bits, visit KUT’s 5 Things You May Not Have Known About Eeyore’s Birthday. The next party is only 49 days away (April 26), so mark your calendars.
