Shoal Creek Flood 2015: The Clean Up Begins

As the flood waters throughout the Shoal Creek watershed start to recede, we’re getting a better idea of the full damage of the 2015 Memorial Day Flood. We’re working closely with City staff to help distribute information and identify problem areas requiring repair, and will be mobilizing volunteers to help with the clean up and restoration. If you are interested in being a part of the volunteer effort, join our Flood Clean Up mailing list and we’ll keep you posted on all news, events and opportunities.

May 26: Clean Up @ 6th Street – GSD&M Parking Lot
May 30: Shoal Creek Conservancy – Creek Clean Up
May 30: Pease Park Conservancy – Pease Park Clean Up
June 6: Austin Parks Foundation’s National Trails Day – Shoal Creek projects
June 13: Keep Austin Beautiful’s Clean Lady Bird Lake – Various Locations
