Volunteers Needed – Trail Repair Work 11/15/2013
November 8, 2013 | By Shoal Creek Conservancy
The Shoal Creek trail needs your help. Are you available on Friday, November 15 from 2-5 pm to help repair the Shoal Creek trail in the downtown area? The trail suffered significant damage from the October 30th flood, and we are seeking 20 volunteers to help us shovel gravel and sand off the trail, remove debris, pick up trash, and paint over or remove graffiti.
We will gather at 2 pm at Duncan Park (900 West 9th Street) and work on the trail from just south of Pease Park to the 5th street bridge. Metered parking is available along both 9th and 10th streets near the park. The City will supply all the tools, and we will supply the people power. Please wear heavy shoes, bring water and gloves if you have them.
Please RSVP by the noon on Thursday, November 14 at https://www.eventbrite.com/event/9166361835 so we know how many volunteers to expect. Please also share this information with anyone else that might have a flexible weekday schedule.
Thank you in advance!
