Join us on October 3rd at the REI classroom from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to learn about the ecology and habitats of Shoal Creek and plant identification basics (with a focus on distinguishing native, non-native and invasive species). We’ll end the day with a walk along the creek to perform a biological assessment of plant communities along Shoal Creek.
The workshop will be led by the Wildflower Center’s Michelle Bertelson (Ecologist/Land Steward), Minnette Mar (Plant Conservationist) and Karen Clary (Manager of Plant Conservation) with comments by Joanna Wolaver, Executive Director of Shoal Creek Conservancy about current and planned Shoal Creek projects and opportunities to volunteer.
Tickets are $35 each, which includes lunch, provided by Whole Foods, and a Shoal Creek Conservancy t-shirt.
*Please note that we currently cannot accept American Express.
